Spider on a stick - Christmas tree ornament

You may be surprised, but the spider is a traditional Christmas motif. It brings luck to the house! Thanks to the clip, you can not only attach this spider to a Christmas tree branch, but also use it as an interior decoration all year round.

The production of glass bead ornaments is a traditional craft of the Czech Republic. The ornament was handmade in Poniklá in the Krkonoše Mountains. The glass beads are silver-plated on the inside with real silver.

Bead ornaments have been handmade in the Krkonoše Mountains for over a hundred years. Before a bead, blown from a glass tube, reaches the finished ornament, it must pass through at least five pairs of skilled hands. The bead craft has a deep tradition in Poniklá and has been a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2020.
