Christmas chain - tree ornament

A true Christmas lover knows that without a chain, a tree is bare, no matter how many decorations there are on it. The chain made of round beads and seed beads is simple, but unmissable. The length of the chain is 180 cm.

The production of glass bead ornaments is a traditional craft of the Czech Republic. The chain was handmade in Poniklá in the Krkonoše Mountains. The glass beads are silver-plated on the inside with real silver.

Bead ornaments have been handmade in the Krkonoše Mountains for over a hundred years. Before a bead, blown from a glass tube, reaches the finished ornament, it must pass through at least five pairs of skilled hands. The bead craft has a deep tradition in Poniklá and has been a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2020.
